Professional Background

Mr. Kreps is an experienced litigator who practices in both state and federal courts in diverse areas of the law, including business litigation, construction defect, environmental, employment, and intellectual property. Mr. Kreps also handles cases before the Court of Appeals, including the published decision Wager v. Mirzayance (1998) 67 Cal. App. 4th 1187, which has been cited by treatises and practice guides as clarifying attorney's obligations under the State Bar's Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program. In addition to handling litigation matters, Mr. Kreps regularly advises clients regarding California employment law, premises liability, landlord-tenant issues, and trade-mark and trade dress infringement issues.

Mr. Kreps began his legal career with O'Melveny & Myers, where he handled a large caseload of commercial litigation matters including multi-jurisdictional federal actions. Mr. Kreps then focused his practice on insurance matters at Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold, litigating matters involving allegations of bad faith. Thereafter, Mr. Kreps established his own practice where he continued to litigate business related disputes, and gained experience in legal and medical malpractice, probate litigation, and elder law.
